Lasagna Chips.
Every once in a while, the net tosses you a big fat gimme. This is one of those situations.
So, I'm sure that everybody here is familiar with Amazon.com. It's been around since before the bubble burst, and it is the #1 online retailer for everything from smut to fancy beetles.
Amazon has lots of nice features. It is the most reliable source of reviews on the web, and it often exposes you to new products that you may not have seen before logging in. Every once in a while, though, Amazon throws you a curveball.
I was recently shopping for a coffee maker. As expected, Amazon started offering me things I may be interested in viewing, and on the left, it lists brands that offer products similar to the one you are viewing. I was quite surprised to see one brand in particular was offered. So I clicked it. This is the result of that choice.
So, Amazon. You got me. You baited the hook, lowered it gently into the water, and then jerked it with the might of Thor when I had but a taste. Lasagna Chips.
So not only am I indignant at the fact that Amazon threw Lasagna Chips into the fray as a brand that offered coffee and coffee supplies, but the fact that when I clicked the link it took me to a 'no results' page...as if I had searched for it myself. Lasagna Chips!
So, Amazon, is that an Italian crack? Think that's funny? I think that the worst part about the whole ordeal is that I absolutely, 100%, fell for it. There was no way I could resist clicking that link. Even though it was in the Coffee section. Lasagna Chips.
Final Score:
Amazon: 1
Budiak: 0
Good job, Amazon.
